Paul Jaffe brings real assets stewardship expertise to Hillbreak Advisory Board

3 May, 2026/in News, Press

Hillbreak is excited to announce the appointment of Paul Jaffe as the latest member of its Advisory Board. Paul brings over 20 years of experience in Fund and Asset management, with deep expertise in, and a commitment to, bridging the gap between environmental and community stewardship and real assets investing.

Paul is the Real Assets ESG Lead for the Church Commissioners for England, which manages an £11 billion endowment fund to support the Church of England’s ministry. Paul oversees ESG-related activities for the Church Commissioners’ property, land and infrastructure investments, working closely with the Responsible Investment Team.

Previously, Paul was the Asset Management Sustainability Lead at British Land, where he oversaw the execution of placemaking and environmental initiatives, as well as community projects, across a £1.8 billion campus in the West End of London. Prior to his time at British Land, Paul was a Fund Management Director at LaSalle Investment Management. He holds a Masters degree from the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainable Leadership.

Paul brings valuable expertise and insight into the commercial and operational realities of delivering ESG stewardship in a real assets context, helping to inform the ongoing development, commerciality and standards-alignment of Hillbreak’s Strategic Advisory and Place Advisory services. He joins the Advisory Board alongside existing members Faith Dulson (Burges Salmon LLP), Sarah Hayford (The Land Collective) and Andy Yates (Grosvenor).

Jon Lovell, Managing Director at Hillbreak, commented: “We’re delighted that Paul has agreed to join our Advisory Board. He’s such a thoughtful professional and we’re really looking forward to learning from his insights and experience, which are drawn from a diverse career spanning sustainability, fund and asset management. It was great to be able to welcome Paul and introduce him to his fellow Advisory Board members at our most recent meeting, where we were able to spend time exploring the opportunities for the continued integration and strengthening of our new Place Advisory services, alongside our strategic work.”

Paul said: “I’m really pleased to be joining the Advisory Board and working alongside such a passionate, thoughtful and experienced group. Hillbreak does brilliant work helping turn ambition into practical change across the built environment, and I’m looking forward to learning from them as well as playing my part”.

At the same time as welcoming Paul, Hillbreak would like to place on record its enormous thanks to Abigail Dean, Global Head of Strategic Insights for Nuveen Real Assets, for the fantastic contribution she has made as an inaugural member of the Advisory Board. Abi is stepping down following the excellent news of her recent appointment to the global Board of the CRREM Foundation.

Miles Keeping, Executive Chairman at Hillbreak, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Abi for her involvement on the Hillbreak Advisory Board since its inception. Abi very generously gave us the benefit of her considerable insight and expertise developed during her career in consultancy and as a leader at Nuveen Real Estate. Her input has provided us with tremendous support as we continue to develop our Strategic Advisory, Client Learning and Place Advisory offerings. Whilst we are sorry to see Abi leaving the Hillbreak Advisory Board, we are delighted for her as she takes up her position on the CRREM Foundation Board.”

Abi commented: “It has been a privilege to be part of the Hillbreak Advisory Board from the very beginning. Watching the team develop and strengthen their services has been enormously rewarding, and I’m proud of the small part I’ve been able to play in that journey. I’m delighted to pass the baton to Paul— his depth of experience makes him a fantastic addition. While I’m excited about what lies ahead with the CRREM Foundation, I will genuinely miss working with the brilliant people at Hillbreak”.
