Emily Hamilton

Principal

Emily joined Hillbreak in 2026 to work with clients on embedding sustainability into investment strategy, governance and decision-making, with a particular focus on real estate and impact-led investment.

She brings deep expertise in integrating sustainability into investment management activities, alongside a track record of advancing industry thinking on climate, nature and social impact. Her work focuses on translating ambition into practical delivery, strengthening resilience and enabling long-term value creation.

Prior to joining Hillbreak, Emily was Chief Sustainability Officer at Savills Investment Management, where she was responsible for developing and delivering the firm’s global sustainability strategy across its real estate investment platform. She led the integration of sustainability into investment processes, risk management frameworks and asset lifecycle decisions, and advanced the firm’s approach to climate resilience, net zero and nature-based solutions. Earlier in her career, she held senior sustainability roles at Grosvenor Group working with senior leadership to embed sustainability across the business and secure board-level commitments on net zero, circular economy and nature.

Emily has played an active role in shaping industry initiatives. She is a former Chair of the INREV ESG Committee and has contributed to industry work on natural capital and biodiversity. She is also a Board Director of the Hertfordshire Nature Partnership and has held previous board roles, including at the Better Buildings Partnership, supporting the advancement of sustainability across the real estate sector.

Emily combines technical expertise with strong commercial insight and an ability to engage senior stakeholders, enabling organisations to move from ambition to delivery.

She is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (FISEP) and holds an MSc in Environment, Science and Society from University College London.
