Amie Shuttleworth

Amie specialises in integrating sustainability into built environment businesses and projects. She has diverse experience within the sector, having worked in-house as the Head of Sustainability for Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd as well as Global Director for Cundall, developing and delivering its sustainability strategies for 15 years.

Her experience spans from leading and delivering sustainable buildings (e.g. Bloomberg’s European Headquarters in London), developing specific sustainability targets and action plans for whole construction and engineering businesses, including with alignment to systems such as the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (e.g. New World Development’s 2030 targets), to developing and delivering bespoke sustainable design training to engineers covering topics such as embodied carbon, BIM and health and wellbeing (e.g. the award winning Cundall Diploma).

She additionally has both UK and international experience delivering design and corporate sustainability projects in the UK, Australia, Ecuador, Hong Kong and China as well as working with global businesses to develop appropriate international solutions.

Amie has a strong interest for sharing knowledge and being up to speed with the rapidly changing landscape that exists in the sustainability field. She sits on the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and is also the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership Ambassador.
